AKI'S Poona College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Camp, Pune-01 Department of Geology Joint Alumni (Geology and NCC) Meet Report The Department of Geology and NCC jointly organized an Alumni Meet on Saturday 07 th August 2021 at 11.30 a.m . The Alumni meet was organized to reconnect with the Alumni and celebrate their success and various achievements. ● Eleven (11) Alumni students of Geology were present on this occasion. ● Twelve (12) Alumni students of National cadet Corp (NCC) were present on this occasion. ● Dr. Sajid Hundekar (HOD, Geology Department and Ex NCC Officer), Mr. Irfan J. Shaikh (Associate Professor), Mr. Mohammad Ali Bangi (Assistant Professor) along with Dr. M. R. G. Sayyed (former HOD, Geology Department) and Sub.Lt.(Dr) Shakir Shaikh (College NCC Officer) were present on this occasion. Activities under taken during the Academic year 2019-2020 Activity 1 -“Disaster Management in India” Certificate Course Report- 2019 The Department of Geology had organized a 30 hours certificate course on “ Disaster Management in India” and it was successfully conducted in the Geology Laboratory. Dr. Sajid Hundekar was the coordinator of the certificate course. Dr Sajid Hundekar along with Mr. Irfan Shaikh, Mr. Mohammad Ali Bangi and Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat had drafted the course for total 30 hrs. (Theory and Practicals).The team has successfully tied up with PMC Fire Brigade Station, Lohianagar, Pune and Dial 101 Emergency Ambulance service for their assistance in conducting theory and practical sessions. Both the organizations had sent their representatives to conduct the sessions in college premises and their premises in Lohianagar.
