Activities under taken during the Academic year 2019-2020 Activity 1 -“Disaster Management in India” Certificate Course Report- 2019 The Department of Geology had organized a 30 hours certificate course on “ Disaster Management in India” and it was successfully conducted in the Geology Laboratory. Dr. Sajid Hundekar was the coordinator of the certificate course. Dr Sajid Hundekar along with Mr. Irfan Shaikh, Mr. Mohammad Ali Bangi and Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat had drafted the course for total 30 hrs. (Theory and Practicals).The team has successfully tied up with PMC Fire Brigade Station, Lohianagar, Pune and Dial 101 Emergency Ambulance service for their assistance in conducting theory and practical sessions. Both the organizations had sent their representatives to conduct the sessions in college premises and their premises in Lohianagar. Dates: 16 th July 2019 to 16 th August 2019 No. of Students Participated : FY, SY and TY B.Sc. (Geology)- 51 Beneficiaries

Activities under taken during the Academic year 2018-2019  Dr. Sajid Hundekar presented a research paper on “Tectonic plate movement in the North -Eastern part of Himalayacreate Catastrophic Earthquakes: A Case study of Nepal Earthquake” in an International Multidisciplinary Conferences on Economics, Commerce, Management, Social Science, Humanities, Engineering and Environmental Concernsin  AJANTA- An International Multi-disciplinary Quarterly Research Journal, Jun-18. ISSN 2277-5730.

Activities under taken during the First Term –Academic year 2017-2018 1)       Dr. Sajid Hundekar delivered a lecture for Geology students on 11 th July 2017 at 10.00 am in the Department of Geology .   The topic of the talk was "International- Turkey Government Scholarship program". This lecture was attended by meritorious students along with their parents.   2)       Mr. Abdulhafiz Sayyed, a Poona college alumnus, who got 100% Turkey Government scholarship) delivered a talk on "International Scholarship program" on 24 th August 2017 at 9.00 am in the Conference Hall of Poona College,Pune. This was attended by 125 students along their parents.
